| Organisation Description | The Climate Processes Section of Environment Canada conducts research that contributes to a better understanding of climate system behaviour in Canada, with a focus on cold climate processes and their representation in climate models. A long-standing research program is the development of satellite- based capabilities to characterize the spatial and temporal aspects of the cryosphere in northern Canada, with a focus on snow cover (snow water equivalent), sea ice and lake ice. |
