| There can be no mobile communications without a mobile communications network. As a network operator, Swisscom Mobile designs, builds and operates its mobile communications network. From the very beginning, this has also meant that we accept responsibility both for people and for the environment. And we intend to face up to this responsibility. We are therefore deeply committed to reconciling â€mobile communications†with â€the environment and healthâ€. There is still some uncertainty concerning electromagnetic waves. We know a great deal, but there is still a lot that we don't know (even in terms of scientific research). There are as many truths as there are half–truths and untruths, a great deal of emotion and, of course, a lot of polemics. Not least because of this, there still seems to be an enormous amount of uncertainty and scepticism with regard to mobile technologies. We intend to counteract this and contribute to an objective, constructive and open dialogue. This website reflects this commitment, which has been developed on Swisscom's own initiative and with a view to sustainability. Commitment to sustainability, ecological compatibility and security in the field of mobile communications. Mobile phones are here to stay. Mobile technologies have changed our society and will continue to do so. Mobile communicationis not possible without mobile antennas. Mobile technologies require a secure and reliable infrastructure. Social responsibility also applies to the manufacture, use and disposal of mobile phones. So that mobile phones arouse positive emotions. |
