The project performed information analysis in the malting barley market throughout Europe. Based on this a service was developed and demonstrated. The main output of the project was a GIS-based internet service to register malting barley fields of the contracted farmers of Grolsch, preparing for a future Envisat-based service to monitor crop development as an indicator for product integrity (the main issue for Grolsch). Results were disseminated to about 100 key persons of the Cereals sector within the Netherlands.
