	Project Description
Objectives	URBEX is an ESA-ESRIN DUP project aiming to provide an Earth Observation based information service: the loss of natural landscape due to urban development in the last 15 years over the Italian territory. The targeted end-user for this DUP project was the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The objectives of the URBEX project were to define and implement, at demonstrator level, a service of monitoring the urban growth, in order to evaluate the landscape reduction and the subsequent impact on natural resources.
