| The SAEFL is the federal government’s centre of environmental expertise and is part of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications.
Within SAEFL, The Air Pollution Control and NIR Division seeks to protect human health and the environment from harmful impacts or nuisances due to air pollution or non-ionizing radiation (NIR). The legal basis is provided by the Ordinance on Air Pollution Control (LRV), the Air Pollution Control Strategy (LRK) and the Ordinance on Protection against Non-Ionizing Radiation (NISV).
